Fancy becoming more productive?

Do you ever feel overwhelmed that there are never enough hours in the day, and think you need to hone your time management skills?

The trick to improving your productivity is to realise that time management is a myth. Remember:

  • No matter how organised you are, there will only ever be 24 hours in a day
  • Time management is not about doing more
  • All you can actually manage is what you do with the time you do have.

Our challenge to you over the next month is to:

Track your daily activities so you can see where your valuable time is being spent.  Doing this usually raises a few surprises between what you thought and what is actually happening.

  • Use a device to record your daily activities that is constantly accessible to you, so you can note exactly what you do when you do it. It could be jotting it down in your diary, PDA or an ordinary notebook - just use whatever’s simplest and most efficient. 

At the end of each week for that month review how you’ve spent your time.  Is it allocated in the most productive areas, do you have the balance right?  If not, look at what you can outsource, delegate, dump or spend more time on. 

It’s a great exercise to help you focus in on what really matters in terms of where you spend your time….and is as effective in your home life as it is for work.

Just to let you know we have changed our name…we’re now the Legwork Group, rather than Legwork Concierge as we’ve been in the past.

Why?  The scope of work that has been requested over the past year by our clients has been much wider than pure concierge, so we’ve rebranded the business to better meet the requirements of our increasing client base.

What services do Legwork Group now offer?  We still organise anything that you don’t have the time, desire or expertise to manage yourself - whether it’s for your personal or business life, however the business has now been split into two units to better service your specific needs:

1) Legwork Corporate Assistance; to assist in making your busy work day simpler in areas such as conference & meeting management, corporate event planning and virtual personal assistance.

2) Legwork Lifestyle Management; to help you manage your frantic home life in areas such as household management, relocation, personal shopping, personal concierge and planning for that special party you’ve been thinking about.
